A new addition to the Sprint Nextel campus celebrated their opening with a ribbon-cuttnig ceremony on September 22.  KeyBank Real Estate Capital opened their new 65,000 square foot office space for about 300 employees.

The ceremony was sponsored by the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce.

The Kansas Bioscience Authority Executive Committee's plan for fiscal 2012, which begins July 1, 2011, will allow the KBA board to consider up to $29.7 million in new investments. Massage therapy has evolved over the years, offering more specialized and concentrated therapies for pain relief. Opened in November 2010 in downtown Edgerton, Body Well Therapeutic Massage is a prime example of that. At least, that’s what Body Well clients are boasting.

“Too bad there isn’t a ‘love’ button!” gushed Tina Revithis Grell on the Body Well Facebook page. "Body Well is the place to go to get rid of muscle pain,” noted John Stevenson. Janeice Rawles said she is experiencing relief from pain she’s had "for many, many years.”

Smallcakes Bakery plans to open a third location in Lee's Summit's Summit Fair shopping center in the next couple of weeks.

The original bakery opened only 18 months ago in Overland Park, and a second location in Olathe soon followed.

Smallcakes appeared on Cupcake Wars a couple months ago and just recently appeared on The View as well.

New Rail Hub and Freight Center Coming to Gardner

The CEO of BNSF, along with officials from the Kansas Department of Transportation, made two announcements about a new rail hub in Gardner, Kan. One announcement is that a contractor has been named to build the facility. The other is that a $35 million grant has been secured.
