House Fire Investigated in Overland Park
Overland Park Fire officials are trying to figure out what started a fire that caused substantial damage to a home. The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday near 128th & Cody. Crews found smoke and fire in the attic once the entered the home.
Firefighters say the fire burned a hole through the first floor ceiling, into the second story and finally into the attic. It took crews about 30 minutes to put the fire out.
Neighbors called 911 after smelling smoke. Fire crews from Olathe also assisted with the fire.
